Nourishing Journey Presents: The Holisitic Health Summit - Gut Sense
Time & Location
About The Event
You are invited to join a fun and light-hearted afternoon in which our panel of Integrative Providers will address the broad topic of gastro-intestinal health. Each speaker will present topics to stimulate new ways to think about the relationship of your gut to your overall health. For our spring summit, we want to freshen up the typical didactic style of teaching gut health, so this will be an interactive event in which we will invite you to participate by asking questions of our panelists. You will leave this event armed with valuable knowledge and tangible actions you can take to heal and maintain peak gut health.
We will start promptly at 1pm, so make sure you come early to check in, get something from our organic café and take your seat. We have AMAZING smoothies and coffee. It is highly recommended that you buy your ticket in advance to reserve your seat.
Fred Bloem, MD will discuss the way in which an integrative approach differs from a conventional approach. His discussion will include things your doctor may not have explained about hydrochloric acid and proper digestion. Dr. Bloem is Klinghardt trained and will also discuss how Autonomic Response Testing can be utilized in narrowing down diagnostic considerations.
Dr. Marc DiNola, Biological DDS will discuss amalgam fillings and other sources of mercury exposures that impact intestinal permeability and create antibiotic resistance in the gut.
Jennifer Palmer, Owner of Nourishing Journey, I-ACT Certified Colon Hydrotherapist, Reiki Master/Teacher, Spiritual Coach, Founder of Holistic Metamorphosis and trained as a Traditional Naturopath will talk about mind/body/spirit detoxification and how detox can help to heal the gut.
Casey Potocki, Mac., Lac will combine his knowledge and 18 years of experience in acupuncture, functional and Chinese medicine, and nutrition to discuss the dampness of high carbohydrate foods and how they impact health.
Karan Joy Almond, Retired RN, Oral-systemic Consultant, Emotional/Spiritual Healing Coach will discuss how the stress and chronic illness can create a cycle of impaired gut health. Karan will also discuss Spectracell Testing for Micronutrients, a patented test that indicates the nutrients that have been used inside the cell over a recent period of time.
After the Q & A session, there will be time to meet each panelist for a brief conversation on how gut health affects you personally.
We hope you can join us. We have a gut feeling, you will be glad you did!
