DAFA Dance is an Afro-Caribbean dance somatic experience that nurtures, renews, and inspires your mind, body and spirit! DAFA is a multi-dimensional dance which offers a combination of all your favorites in one place.

The DAFA experience

Our mini 1.5 hour weekly workshops provides opportunity to learn and practice keys and foundations. You'll learn the feet, core posture, hands and head movements that create the look and feel of this whole being dance system. Our floor exercise time gives you the opportunity to suspend thoughts while you move in multi-rhythmic realms of sensuality and inner mysticism.

Investment: $25 in-advance (paid in full online) or $30 the day of the class This pricing is per class. This is an 8 week series starting Feb 2nd and running every Friday evening until March 23rd.

Dance Facilitator Bio:

Sacred Dance Instructor

Irmina has been facilitating sacred dance, chanting and group exercise classes in the DC metro area since 2007. As a dancer, she facilitates a no pressure, fun, and Afro-Caribbean based dance wisdom experience for all ages. As a wisdom keeper, she facilitates earth honoring women programs for self-development. These two intertwine to help create a dance experience that's deeply intuitive and healing. Irmina has been dancing since childhood and actively pursued dance as a career since 1977 .Her professional background includes over a decade in the wellness industry as director, personal trainer, group exercise instructor and disease prevention coach and facilitator. She created DAFA to provide an integrative dance format from a Caribbean sacred dance perspective. She embraces the formality of structured teaching while maintaining a subtle mysticism of this feminine dance.
