Q&A

What are your office hours?
Our administrative hours are Monday through Friday: 9:30am – 5pm.  All our services are scheduled in advance to ensure that your experience is relaxing and personal without the interruptions and distractions of a more bustling environment.

  • Detox services (ionic footbath, colonic, sauna) are generally scheduled/available: Monday-Friday 10am-6pm. Some Saturdays available. Times depend on the individual practitioners availability.

  • Massage & Energy Healing Services are generally scheduled: Monday through Saturday: Day and evening times vary depending on practitioners’ availabilities.  Some Sundays are also available for massage.

How do I make an appointment?
You can contact us at (410)992-3001. Another (preferred) option is to fill out the website form or email us at info@nourishing-journey.com. Please indicate type of service, time preference and your phone number.  Our administrative hours are Monday - Friday from 9:30am - 5pm. Online scheduling is also now available but scheduling through phone and email have been proven to be the best way to schedule as our online scheduling system can randomly experience technical difficulties. Always make sure to provide your email, if you receive an email confirming your appointment then you're booked in our schedule definitely.

How far in advance should I book my appointment?
We recommend scheduling appointments 1 – 4 weeks in advance, depending on service and practitioner.  Walk-ins are not available at this time.  Some of our practitioners offer same day appointments, but there are no guarantees of availability. We do our best to accommodate everyone's needs and availability.

Will you remind me of my appointment?
Yes. Your appointment will be confirmed 48 hours in advance. If we have your email, you will get a reminder in your email. Text message reminders are also sent if we have your cell phone number. You can opt out of text and email reminders in person at your own risk. We do not give phone call reminders.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?

Outside of a true emergency, 24 hour notice of appointment changes is requested for all appointments. 50% of total price is charged to you for services not cancelled in this time frame. Membership appointments that are cancelled can either use an available membership credit or pay 50% of the original price of the service. We do our best to understand unforeseen circumstance while respecting the time of our practitioners.

What if I am late?
If you find yourself running late for an appointment, please call our phone number (410) 992-3001.  If you reach voicemail, please leave a message. Your session time may be reduced to honor the appointments scheduled. We will do our best to give you as much time as we can and can also offer to reschedule. Upon rescheduling or cancellation in order to respect other appointments, the late cancellation fee may be applied.

What should I expect when I arrive for my appointment?
When arriving for your scheduled appointment, please check in at our admin desk that is through a window to the right of the main entrance. When you check in, the receptionist will notify the practitioner that you have arrived and will collect any paperwork you may have brought or will give you a paper copy of any forms you may need to fill out before your session. Once any forms are completed, you can hold onto them to give directly to your practitioner and make yourself comfortable while you wait. We have an in house cafe and boutique to browse while you wait as well as bathrooms if needed. Your practitioner will then come out to greet you and take you back to the room where you will receive your session. Our practitioners explain the entire process in detail so that you can make decisions based on your individual preferences and needs for the service to maximize your comfort level.
