About the event

Come experience a 2-hour class with a brief history of Kundalini Yoga, a full Kirya (complete set of exercises), relaxation with gong bath, and meditation.

An Introduction to Kundalini Yoga and Meditation as taught by Yogi Bhajan. Learn a brief history on Kundalini Yoga, when it came to the US, how and why it differs from other yoga's. We will have a full Kriya (set of exercises), relaxation with gong bath, and a meditation.

Kundalini Yoga is called the Yoga of Awareness. It is a dynamic, powerful tool that is designed to give you an experience of your soul. Kundalini Yoga harnesses the mental, physical, and nervous energies of the body. It is unlike any other yoga in that we aren't doing any extreme, flexible poses. We are moving energy with the use of breath, mudra's, eye-focus, mantra, body locks, and postures. It brings balance to the body, mind, and soul.

"The kundalini experience does not mean you have gone into a deep breathless trance and are beyond this world. … It integrates you more fully with reality and gives you a broader vision and sensitivity so that you can act more efficiently."

~Yogi Bhajan, from Kundalini Yoga: The Flow of Eternal Power, back cover

Meet your Facilitator:

Having been a life long devotee of spirituality and all things metaphysical, Stephanie received her Reiki ART certification over 10 years ago, becoming knowledgeable in crystals, and learning to listen to and trust in her intuition.

A major life change, and the ensuing physical pain that came with the emotional baggage it included, turned Stephanie toward yoga to heal and feel better mentally and physically. Trying various different yoga styles to see what fit best, she stumbled onto Kundalini Yoga and fell in love.

Stephanie found that her body felt energized, yet calm. Most importantly, her mind was able to rest. Inspired by this, she quit her full time job and started Kundalini Yoga teacher training as taught by Yogi Bhajan. Stephanie is passionate about Kundalini Yoga and its transforming power of the movement of energy through kriyas, meditations, and mantras.
