About the event

Come on out to Nourishing Journey Wellness Center & Organic Café for some nutritious bites and lesson in the relaxing art of Zentangle drawing! Bring a friend and get half off the second ticket!

Zentangle is the mindful and repetitive drawing of patterns, called Tangles. Simply put, it is a mindful method of drawing or doodling. When you tangle, you purposefully engage in something simple and creative. The process eases other thoughts from your mind. You practice focus and exercise your imagination. Zentangle can be highly meditative and therapeutic. Each tangle experience can leave you with a feeling of satisfaction and pleasure. There are no mistakes in Zentangle. It is impossible to fail! There is no special talent needed, no special skill, no expensive equipment, no appointment needed, no big time commitment. Seriously, all the obstacles have been methodically removed.

This event is suitable for anyone who is interested in an introduction to the Zentangle Method or who would like to come out for a refresher and some relaxing tangling, good company, and good food. I will guide you through the steps and show you how it’s done. Once you’ve completed this class, you’ll have what you need to take the ball and run with it, and experiment with the world of Zentangle.

For an additional fee of $15, I can provide you with a Zentangle starter kit (as seen in photo), or you can bring your own materials with you. The starter kit is highly recommended and includes:

• Micron 01 (.25mm) fine point marker, archival ink

• Zentangle pencil

• a tortillon/blender tool

• Zentangle tiles to use during and after class

• drawstring storage pouch
