About The Event
When sketching, initially there seems to be no idea that evolves. Quite simply: intuition guides our thoughts and we follow the lines into shapes and color combinations we may have never previously seen.
The challenges we face as students of intuitive art are: when something beckons us to create - we learn to quiet our minds, we listen, we see and begin to feel it's energy....and then it is quite possible to honor our imagination and put pencil and paper together and trust which direction the lines will flow.
There are no rules, judgments or corrections, no right or wrong within Intuitive Creations. "They simply are" They encompass a myriad of thoughts and emotions that manifest because intuition has led us to create them. These images fill us with a feeling of freedom to bravely venture into the field of imagination, adventure and exploration.
What matters is not the medium you use at the moment, but rather, that you fully trust the magic of your Intuitive guiding feeling or idea or however it comes into your awareness and then you do it. This journey awaits for you to explore your artistic creativity. Be prepared to be amazed at what you can do and that we all ooo and ahhh and can laugh with each other as our masterpieces evolve before our very eyes!!!!
In this Intuitive art series Maryann will guide you to use your intuition to create beautiful works of art from your own heart and imagination.

MEET YOUR FACILITATOR:
MaryAnn Evangelista has been a professional musician most of her life and her career spans a wide variety of classical and folk music. However in the recent 2 and 1/2 years she has expanded her love for the arts by developing her painting skills. Quite simply, she began sketching and creating paintings filled with mythical creatures, gorgeous flowers and landscapes that are filled with complex detailed designs and color combinations. Intuitive ideas flooded her imagination and would actually direct her strokes and choice of color combinations. She had never done this before. Presently MaryAnn continues to create new paintings to add to her collection of over 100 completed works. She has said that it isn't that she wants to paint...it is far stronger than that for her...She says "I absolutely must do it! Sometimes, I can't rest unless I paint. I never know what will evolve until I start and then I watch in amazement as it evolves before my eyes. I feel this Intuitive Spirit and I create an adventure through what evolves. It's exhilerating, peaceful, exciting and a blast of fun! I am so honored". My hope is that those who observe my art work will have as much fun exploring it, as I have had creating it through the gentle guidance of my Intuition.
"MaryAnn is one of the most talented and extraordinary people I have met. I was witness to her transformation moving from music into her artistic expressions. Over the years I have watched her bloom. She is unstoppable! MaryAnn picks up her pens or brushes and off she goes. Her imagery flows almost faster than she can draw. Whether creating visual “fonts”” of numbers or the alphabet, everything has rhythm and color. I might describe some of her work as imaginary calligraphy, images in her own unique style conjure up an elaborate “four” or a “five”. Think a foreign country like India or Persia only not from this world and you will see kaleidoscope, fractal designs of flowers but not flowers, leaves and shells and snails and dragons and organic shapes that don’t actually exist. Patterns recurring but constantly changing. The more I was witness to her work, continually unfolding into magnificent imagery, I suddenly realized that her music mind had found its’ way into artistic imagery and if you could read it as notes there would be no one brilliant enough to play it! The complexity of her work, the joyousness it exudes and her prolific body of work is a gift. Intuitive art is when the mind opens up to the soul, allowing flow into form. MaryAnn is a 'yes' person. She is a giver of gifts. She will lead you to open your own doors and discover what’s inside. Take a chance on yourself and let her give you a little 'push'! Off you go!" -Kristin Darnell-Kreger
