I N T R O D U C T I O N
We experience and interpret so much of reality through our body and the intricate webs of communication between our various bodily systems and senses of self. I view massage as a means of conversation where we are able to listen and respond to bodies' ever-changing needs and experiences. It is the culmination of our experiences and
understandings that bring our bodies to our current sense of self, and I believe in taking an approach to massage that honors that. Massage sessions with me are unique from client to client, and vary from session to session as we build rapport to better collaborate for an ever-
adapting massage experience.
As a licensed massage therapist I aim to continually expand my knowledge base and apply a range of methods into adaptive, unique, compassionate care. In this day and age of international connections, ongoing information exchange, unprecedented research and scientific capabilities- my moral and spiritual belief framework is built on appreciating, and to an extent incorporating practices/philosophies that exist worldwide without appropriation or adherence to a singular ideal or set of ideas.
Even as a child I had a fascination with the abilities and reflexes of the human body, most often expressed in massaging the feet, necks, and shoulders of my family. My ongoing involvement with sports changed as I experienced injuries and eventually developed chronic pain which ultimately gave me the push I needed to pursue massage therapy professionally.
A 2011 graduate from Northern Virginia School of Therapeutic Massage, I passed my first national massage learning/competency exam (NCBTMB exam)and began regularly practicing massage just a few months later. From there I continued my journey as a licensed
massage therapist in GA, further studying and focusing on structural integration and bodywork for athletes. I transitioned to mobile massage and then focused on providing energy work in the comfort zones/safe spaces of clients with injuries, anxiety, past traumas, or other factors that had otherwise deterred them from healing support. My return to MD in 2023 brought me back to traditional massage therapy and I pursued additional formal training. In 2025, with the completion of another massage therapy course certification, I passed another national massage learning/competency exam(MBLEx) and am currently a
licensed massage therapist in MD.
Massage is truly for every body, and it brings me joy being a part of the massage therapy experience for my clients. I look forward to connecting with many of you and your unique stories during my time here.
