I N T R O D U C T I O N

My passion for helping others started at a very young age and has driven me to become the person I am today. I can remember being about 4 years old and wanting to take care of my mom after she had a minor surgery. When I turned 13 I told my mom I wanted a “spa day” for my birthday present, so she scheduled a massage for both of us. This is when my love of massage and body work started.

 

It wasn’t until 2019 that I decided to pursue a career in Massage Therapy. I had previously graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts degree in hearing and speech sciences. I got married a year after I graduated college and became a stay at home mom. Eventually, I realized it was time to start thinking about career options and, through trial and error, I decided to become a Massage Therapist.

 

I was able to combine my passion for helping others, my love for massage, and my own newly discovered spiritual journey into this one career. Since starting my career in Massage Therapy, I have dedicated my practice to facilitate healing by helping my clients relax and find peace in everyday life. I enjoy providing a relaxation massage that incorporates both Swedish and deep tissue techniques.

 

I also love incorporating warm packs and warm stones into my sessions as needed, creating a unique experience based on the specific needs of each client. Communicating these needs is crucial, and providing an environment in which my clients feel comfortable, heard, and safe is very important to me.

 

In addition to creating a custom massage for each client, I am also very interested in learning different energy healing techniques. I am currently Reiki 1 certified and  I am working towards learning more and gaining confidence in Reiki and other energy healing modalities.

 

I am so excited to be a part of Nourishing Journey because I believe this is a space where I can accomplish my goals. I am dedicated to accomplishing my goals, not only for myself but for the well-being of my clients and the greater good of the community we live in. The impact of one person’s healing journey can affect the energy around them. There is energy in everything, everywhere, all the time. Giving people the opportunity to focus on self-care and wellness has the potential to create positive energy. The opportunities that can arise when positive energy is present are endless. Maybe we can change the world! Healing hearts and minds one chakra at a time.
