Migraines and headaches, stress, tension, chronic pain, and fatigue. What do all
these symptoms have in common? They can be relieved with CranioSacral
Therapy (CST).
Our bodies are designed to heal. But our muscles and fascia tighten in response to daily stresses, inactivity, and chronic conditions. This fascial strain can affect local body tissue and also, in time, the brain and spinal cord. CST releases these tissues, allowing the body to correct itself, relieving pain, fatigue, and many other
symptoms in the process.
A craniosacral therapist uses a light touch to “listen” to the inner wisdom of your
body. The craniosacral rhythm (the wave-like movement in the spinal cord and
brain) provides a guide for the therapist to hold the tissue until it releases.
Treatments can be powerfully relaxing experiences that improve your health and
well-being, as well as your resistance to disease. We encourage you to give CST a
try.
Maria Petrucci, D.C., uses CST by itself or blends it with her chiropractic work. She
has been using CST in her practice for over 15 years and appreciates the deep
relaxation and enhancement of brain function that CST provides.
Kyle Brooks, a Licensed Massage Therapist, enjoys combining CST with shiatsu and massage. She has been practicing CST for over 10 years and continues to enrich her touch through classes and study groups.
